So we are back from Idaho (which I will post about soon, when I have more time.) and it was a wonderful trip. The kids said several times, it was our best trip yet. I, as per the norm, I have had a rough couple weeks trying to adjust to being back in the swing of full of daily life but it gets a little better each day.
This week was a typical whirlwind of busy-ness. Harris had his typical 3 sessions of Physical Therapy (which I'm reducing to 2 once school starts) and 1 session swimming with Jimmy. He did great on all counts and goes back to see Dr. Whitehead soon to determine if his tethered cord symptoms are getting any better. I taught my four classes at the Y and am sad to give up my favorite cycling class on Monday nights when school starts but it must be done. Things will be too busy that day with Harris in therapy and FHE. I did some visiting teaching this week and the kids and I all fasted, along with the ward, for my visit teachee Heather Hufstedler who has been extremely ill with her lupus.
We went out with the Stephens on Friday night to Escalante's in SugarLand. We had a great time and laughed a ton. We will be sad when they most likely move in a year for Cade to finsih his P.A. schooling.
Tyson is here this evening from Idaho and will be staying with us for two days while he has some job interviews here in Houston. The kids and I cleaned for three days straight to prepare for him to come and I don't think our house has ever been so clean! He and Amanda have been in San Antonio with her family this week so Jared drove up there while the kids and I were at church to get him and on the way home they picked up some jerky and beaver nuggets at Bucee's and brought it home to us. It was a busy and stressful week, especially preparing for Ty but now we have a nice, clean house and get to enjoy him!
Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday are volleyball tryouts at Travis High School for Faith. She has been working hard at the gym, and at various camps and private lessons all summer but she is still incredibly nervous. Jared gave her a blessing tonight. I am proud of her for putting so much effort into her goals. We will see how it turns out. Goodnight!

Busy, Fun and Preparation
On Monday of this week Ethan, Harris and I went to see the Disney movie Brave with Courtney, Greta and Elsa Vanidiford. Faith was at EFY in San Antonio for the week. The movie was enjoyable and the boys seemed to really like it. We had two P.T. sessions for Harris and an aquatic therapy session with Jimmy which Grandma took him to as per their tradition. They always eat out afterwards and he often reminds us that it isn't a date because "She's not his type!"
Tuesday we went to the Waterside pool with lots of friends from church including the Ruggles and DeCamps and Ike, Luke and Drew spent the rest of the day playing at our house.
On Wednesday (4th of July) we spent the day with the DeCamps in lieu of Grandma's where we were supposed to go spend the day with Kelleys and Grovers, because Ike was throwing up and we were worried we had "the bug" and would spread it to others. We ate nachos and ice cream and watched movies at their house. That evening the boys came home and did fireworks with Jared and I went to Mom's with Sarah and watched home movies she had just had converted from VHS. I cried when I heard Mamaw and Papaw on there. It was a treat and also a shock to see myself as a teenager and everyone else at various ages. The kids got to see them on Saturday when we went to visit Scott and Lisa who were in town. The kids reported that I looked like a boy and was too young to have a boyfriend (Chris Howard). They were right on both counts.
David and Em were in town this week with Hollie so we spent some fun time visiting with them. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be all about getting ready to leave for Idaho which we do on Wednesday!!! Besides Harris' therapies and my three classes I teach at the Y, all efforts will go to this. I am dreading all the work it takes to get there but excited for this fun time as a family and with our extended Idaho family. It should be lots of fun.
